We were so tickled and excited to be selected by Kathleen and Rick to design and plan their wedding at their residence in North Scottsdale. Kathleen and Rick live in Colorado half of the year and, sure enough, it was the half during which we would be planning their wedding! The Sip and Twirl team is accustomed to working with clients out of state and even out of country, so we were up to the challenge. We sent out the Sip and Twirl Private Estate team to do the initial site tour and begin to take measurements, define the budget and discuss wedding design. It was a BLAST. Kathleen was focused on the comfort of her guests and wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed their time at the wedding. Rick’s priority was a great meal. The Four Seasons catering team delivered both beautifully AND a backup plan in case of weather. It was the perfect backyard wedding scenerio.

The last week of the planning, we camped out to receive deliveries so as not to disrupt Rick's rigorous Whisper Rock golf schedule and collaborate with Kathleen on any final details or questions.

With an abundance of snuggly blankets, lots of greenery and crystal, an unbelievable view and a custom hardwood inspired ceremony/dance floor, this gorgeous Scottsdale wedding was as well thought out as it was elegant. Guests were treated to live music and champagne as they arrived. They visited around the heat of many fireplaces during cocktail hour. Cozy blankets were handed out during dinner to make sure everyone remained comfy and warm.

It was a gorgeous night with an all star vendor cast. Sip and Twirl was there and we were grateful to get to know this wonderful couple. All the best, Kathleen and Rick!
